Finding balance is a daily struggle – do more, do less. Rest and move. Do and Don’t.
I am finding it hard to find a way to find the best balance between the need to rebuild my strength, and still allowing my body to heal.
There is so much healing that has to happen before I am even back to any semblance of normal.
I realized again today how far I have to go before I will have my body back to where I want it to be. I had another appointment at the hospital today that took me to a few different departments. As I was walking through the hospital I became winded, and my hips started to hurt. Such small things but it made me realize that my body has been through a lot.
It needs rest along with movement.
Walking and weight lifting are the recommended treatments – with the temperature today at 0 degrees I think I may just do a bit of walking in the house. I am enjoying the yoga and hope that I can continue to keep that practice active in my day, and soon, move to more than 10 minutes per day.
Onward and upward, feeling like I am on the right path.
Fingers crossed and prayers that everything will stay stable.
