Spring is in the air – we hope.

I will admit that I have been thinking about writing and updating for two weeks, but have not really done a whole lot about it.  I think sometimes that happens when I get overwhelmed and struggle with my own issues – too many emotions result in not a lot of updating on the world.  I think a big part of that is that I no longer use the writing as much as an outlet as I once did, and I can tell that by what I write and how I write it.

It is an interesting transition for me, knowing that my writing is not as much an outlet – I miss it, but now that I write for other people, it doesn’t feel the same.

I know many of you have asked how things are going, and still others ask if there is anything that you can do to help.  I cannot express what it means to me personally how much it warms my heart when people ask if they can help us – 26 months later and people still show so much kindness and care, it makes me feel like the world can be such a good place, filled with great people.  Of course, when we are asked if someone can help, the answer is usually “we are fine” but hey, old habits are hard to break.

As with any long recovery, there is not a lot of updating to report these days.  Frank has opted out of school, and we are pursuing some other options at this time for volunteer work that may be a better match for him.  As with most of us, working out in this cold weather is hard, so we are both pumping each other up to get out there and work out.  I am hoping by the end of this week my feet will have recovered completely (had a procedure that really hurt and took me out of commission for the last two weeks) so that I can get back to running.  In fact, I just sent the boys out for the first of their daily runs as well.  Thank God for a little warmer weather.

The sunshine and the warmer temperatures will surely be helpful to everyone here in the north that has lived through this long winter.  It is not just those people living and recovering from an illness or injury that are having a hard time right now – we all need a break in the weather and some sunshine.  Make a point to get outside the next few days and breathe in some fresh air.

I want to thank all of you that have sent in questions regarding life coaching and wellness programs.  I am having a really great time with my new career, and if you have questions or want to know more about what a wellness or life coach can do for you, please feel free to send me a message here.  Both Facebook pages are available as well – Mackall Life Coaching and Wellness and Brain Injury Recovery – The Mackall Family Journey.

Have a great day everyone – I plan to have a great date night with Frank!
